September 1st - Location, Location, Location with Gareth Martin AWPF, CPAGB.

September 3rd - Soar Y Mynydd Chapel and Llyn Brianne.

September 8th - Colours, Tones and Textures. Award-winning landscape photography with Ruth Grindrod from Norwich - Ruth's Website cane be viewed - [here]. Hand in Competition No 1 entries.

September 10th - Day out at Cardiff Bay. Meet at 10 am.

September 11th - Celtic Festival at Ammanford Park.

September 15th - An Evening With Colin Trowe Poole of Malvern PS, FRPS, FIPF and MPAGB.This talk will include street, abstract, documentary, images from India and much more. [Colintrowpoole]

September 17th - Day out at National Botanical Gardens.

September 22nd - An Evening with Dave Mason from Kent. A Street Photographer who makes his third visit to the club.

September 23rd - The Tenby 9 way PDI Battle. Judge Peter Young. This will be held via Zoom.

September 24th/25th/26th - Day out at Elvis Presley weekend Porthcawl. 

September 29th - Competition No 1 with Judge Dave Mason

October 1st - Day out at Cenarth Falls. Meet at 10.00. 

October 6th - Members will show a selection of their images from Friday shoots, and Wednesday evening's out. The number of images will depend on the number of club members taking part. Hand-in for Competition 2.

October 8th - Cenarth Falls. Meet at 10.am

October 13th - One of our past members Mike Clatworthy of Swansea CC and Morriston CC, will give his talk entitled Mike's Colour Collection.

October 15th - Day out at Forest Farm. Meet at 10am.

October 20th - The Aberfan Disaster with Alan Harris of Carmarthen CC and Cymru Monochrome.

October 22nd - Day out walk to Y Gaer Roman Fort and a Bronze age hill fort. Approximately 7 miles. Meet at the riverside car park Brecon at 8.45.am. The walk led by Gareth is on undulating ground and some hills plus one long stretch of tarmac road walking. This should be a good Autumn walk.


October 24th - The PAGB club print championships at Smethwick PS.

October 27th - Competition No 2 with Judge Leigh Woolford of Gwynfa CC.

October 29th - A day out with a walk to Brombil. Chosen by club member Nige Brown.

November 3rd - The showing of the WPF International with Peter Young, Salon Chairman.

Hand in Competition No 3.

November 5th - Day out at St Fagans. Meet at 10am.

November 10th - Working with Textures - Janey Lazenby, BA hons Fine Art, LRPS, DPAGB, EFIAP, AMPA, BPE4* Wigan Ten and Wakefield CC.

November 12th - Day out in Cardiff for a Street Shoot. Meet at 10.30.


November 13th - Cwm Rhondda PDI Battle. 3pm start. Judge TBA. Twenty Five clubs taking part including clubs from South Africa and Malta. Bottom five drop out to be replaced by five new clubs.

November 17th - On Location. A lighting demo with Mike Needs. Location will be advised nearer to the date. TBC.

November 19th - Day out at St Mary's ruined church at Tintern.

November 24th - Competition No 3 with Judge Andy Leslie of Towy Valley CC. Hand-in for the Simon Jones Trophy.
This will be a stand-alone competition where the images entered will NOT count towards photographer of the year. This season will be the first time that this competition has been held, and it will be held annually. This competition will be for mono images only. More details will follow nearer the time.

November 26th - Day out at Laugharne. Meet at 10.am or meet for sunrise.

December 1st - Christmas Dinner. TBA.

December 3rd - Day out at Goldcliffe Bay. Meet at 10.00 or for Sunrise.


December 6th - Photovision Folkstone battle on Zoom.

December 8th - Ten way print battle, Ten clubs taking part this year the bottom one club will drop out and will be replaced by one new club. Judge Roy Thomas APAGB Neath PS.
Clubs are Port Talbot, Rhondda, Cardiff, Newport, Pyle and Porthcawl, Afan Nedd, Swansea,Tenby new club's are Melbourn and RPC.

December 10th - Day out with a street shoot at Abergavenny.  Meet at 10.am

December 15th - The Simon Jones Memorial Monochrome Trophy. Judge Peter Young LRPS, AFIAP, APAGB Cwmbran and Cymru Monochrome. Two PDI per entrant.

December 17th - Day out -  park at Storey Arms for a walk to the Tommy Jones' Memorial Stone. This is a hill walk to the location which is below Pen-Y-Fan.  Meet at 08.45. Appropriate walking and wet-weather gear is strongly advised - walking boots or other stout footwear. This walk will be led by Gareth Martin and Neville Thomas.

December 22nd - Night out at Swansea Marina and the Winter Wonderland. 

December 24th - Christmas Eve - No day out.

December 29th - Night out at Penarth Pier. Meet at 7pm TBC.

December 31st - New Year's Eve - No day out.

January 5th - Bring and Buy Sale. Hand-in for Competition 4.

January 7th - A day out commencing with Sunrise at Bracelet Bay.  Meet before sunrise, or for the non early birds meet at 10.am.

January 12th - A Projects Evening with four members giving talks. Neville Thomas, Jo Ashburner, Martin Smith and Gareth Martin.

January 14th - A day out at Llangasty Church and nearby farm buildings. Meet at 10.30. For the early risers in the club, meet at Llangorse lake 45 mins before sunrise. Lunch at the White Hart, Talybont.

January 19th - Miles and Miles of Fresh Air with Nick Jenkins, Gwynfa.

January 21st - A day out with a  photo tour of Llanelly House with an optional lunch. Cost is £6.50 each without lunch. We went here in 2019 it was a great Morning. Meet at 10.am - time to be confirmed. members who want lunch to advise Gareth Martin.

January 26th - Competition No 4 with Judge Gary Shinner, Baglan PS.

January 28th  - A walk to the paddle steamer wreck located near Burry Holm on Rhossilli Beach. Meet at 9.15 am. This is only visible at low tide. This may swap due to tide. Park at Llangennith.   TBC.

February 2nd - An Evening with Permajet. Hand-in for Competition 5.

February 4th -  A day out at St. Teilo's forgotten grave yard near Pontarddulais. Leader is Wayne John. Park at Coed Bach Wood. Meet at 9am.

February 9th - Derelict Carmarthenshire and Drone Photography with Graham Harries of Llanelli CC.

February 11th - A day out with a street shoot in Pontypridd. Requested by Suzanne Slee. Meet at 10am.

February 16th - Portraiture Shoot. Alan Stokes to provide the models and run the evening.

February 18th  - Day Out in Barry. Requested by Gerald Henry. Meet at 10am.

February 23rd - Competition No 5 with Judge Dai Knight of Baglan Bay PS and Cymru Monochrome.

February 25th - Day out shooting the landscape above Pontardawe. We will be parking at an isolated chapel. 
Parking maybe tight, with room for eight cars and possibly a few on the road. Wear warm clothes and walking gear. There's the landscape to roam including a chapel and remains of a school. Meet at 10.am or for the early riser before sunrise.

March 2nd - An Evening with Tony Woribiec FRPS from Wareham Dorset. This may be via Zoom or in person. Tony has been with us on Zoom in 2020.

March 4th - Day out with Nigel Thomas who will lead us on a 6 mile flat walk to the shipwrecks of Pembrey. Meet at 9.am this time and date may change depending on tides.


March 9th - A macro evening with Tony Llewellyn DPAGB. Hand-in for Competition 6.


March 11th - Day out at Parc Slip nature reserve with a walk to Bedford Park. Nige Brown is our leader. Meet at 10.am.


March 16th - At home with the Prenton Jones's - Sharon Prenton Jones MFIAP, MPAGB, FIPF, ARPS, ABPE, EFIAP/p and  Robert Jones EFIAPp, BPE5, AWPF, LRPS Conwy CC. Via Zoom.


March 18th - Day out at Margam Park - a tour with Dave Phillips. Waiting for confirmation due to COVID and health and safety.


March 23rd - Here There and Everywhere - Jenny and Tony Byram, Kingswood PS.

March 25th  - A day out stable shoot at Giants Graveyard meet at 10.am. Refreshments at Francos. Only ten allowed and it's full. See the second shoot on April 22nd - there is room on that one.

March 30th - Competition No 6 Judge Ed Cloutman, Vale PS

April 1st - Day out at Gloucester meet at 10.am more info to come out. Requested by Suzanne Lacorte Slee.

April 6th - Look what I found - Muriel Binnie, Edinburgh PS. Muriel makes her second visit to the club via zoom. Hand in Competition No 7.

April 8th - Day out with a walk to the Sugar Loaf including waterfalls. Park in Llanbeder. Meet at 9.am. Leaders Gareth Neil Holman and Neville Thomas. This is a strenuous walk whilst going up to the loaf.

April 13th - Holy Week. The church Hall is closed, so it's a zoom night from home. The Magic Of Long Exposure with Harry behind the lens from Suffolk. We will be zooming from home. Nigel Brown's request.

April 15th - Day out Good Friday Members choice.

April 20th - Still Life/ Table Top Demo with Martin Smith, members bring cameras.

April 22nd - Day out The second stable shoot at Giants Grave yard meet at 10.am, followed by refreshments at Francos. Only room for Ten.

April 27th - Competition No 7 - Judge Gary Langley. Zoom. Hand-in for our
other new competition to award Print and PDI Image Of The Year. Club Members will be invited to enter what they consider to be their two best images.

These images must be chosen from images that were entered into this season’s club competitions 1 through to 7 (dates as above). There will be one winner in the print section and one in the pdi section.

It will be held on 18th May 2022 with judge Kylie Ann Martin.


April 29th - Day out at Porthkerry Country Park, Gerald Henry request. Meet at 10.am. Cafe on site. Plenty of walks and a sea shore to see.

May 4th - Why put pictures on Canvas, Harry Gardiner, Tenby CC? Moved from April 2020.

May 6th - Day out with a walk to the Chartists Cave - Tom Dee is our leader. Meeting time and directions will be sent out.

May 11th - My Digital View - Peter Weaver Hanham CC.

May 13th - Day out. Jennie Judd Gwynfa CC takes us on a tour of Parc Penallta where there's wildlife and ponds to see. Meet at 10.am Cafe on site.

May 18th  - Print and PDI of the year. Members are invited to enter their two favourite pdi and prints from the 21/22 Season. Judge Kylie Ann Martin, Great Barr PS.

May 20th - Day out at St Mary's Church Briton Ferry meet at 10.am.This is £3 each. Refreshments at Francos.

May 25th - AGM. No subs taken.


May 27th - Day out at Bute Park in the Rhymney Valley. This is a short walk with history and plenty to see and photograph. More info will be posted.

June 1st - Evening out at Nash Point. Meet at 7pm.

June 2nd to 5th - The Appleby Horse Fair. Several members maybe off to this event.

June 3rd - A day out with a street shoot at Hay On Wye book festival. Meet at 10.am.

June 10th - A visit to Colby Gardens near Amroth in West wales. Martin Smith's idea and organiser.

June 15th - Night out at Roath Park for the sunset. Tracey Howells request.

July 13th - Night out at Coed Bach Wood meet at 7pm. St Teilo'sGrave Yard and twisted trees. Wayne John is our leader.

July 29th - Day out at Picton Gardens near Haverfordwest- Martin's idea. Or walk from Rest Bay to Pink Bay and back. Meet at 10.00
