January 5th - NO MEETING.
January 7th - A day out commencing with sunrise at Bracelet Bay. Meet before sunrise, or for the non early birds meet at 10.am.
January 9th - Bikers shoot. Location Bridgend. Further information will be sent to members. Meet at 9.am. Postponed and rescheduled for February 6th 2022.
January 12th - A Projects Evening with three members giving talks. Neville Thomas, Martin Smith and Gareth Martin.
January 14th - A day out at Llangasty Church and nearby farm buildings. Meet at 10.30. For the early risers in the club, meet at Llangorse Lake 45 mins before sunrise. Lunch at the White Hart, Talybont.
January 19th - Sports Photography with Mike Bray, QPSA, PPSA, Port Talbot CC.
January 21st - A day out with a street shoot in Pontypridd - Requested by Suzanne Slee. Meet at 10.am.
January 23rd - WPF Memorial Competition reverts to two PDI competitions, mono and colour due to the ongoing COVID restrictions. The Zoom link will be sent out nearer the date. Start time usually around 10.30. TBC.
January 26th - Competition No 4 with Judge Gary Shinner, Baglan PS.
January 28th - A day out at Mewslade Bay. Cafe at the farm near the car park. Meet at 10.am. Honesty box in the carpark.
February 2nd - Permajet are giving us a zoom presentation on their wares and for those who have registered are sending members paper swatches and a catalogue. Hand-in for Competition No 5.
February 4th -Day out shooting the landscape above Pontardawe. We will be parking at an isolated chapel. Parking maybe tight - room for 8 cars and possibly a few on the road. Wear warm clothes and walking gear. There's the landscape to roam including a chapel and the remains of a hospital. Meet at 10.am or for the early riser before sunrise.
February 6th - Bikers shoot at Bridgend Recreation Centre. Meet at 8.50. Theres a Pay and Display there. Bridgend Life Centre, Angel Street, Bridgend, CF31 4AH
February 8th - Committee Meeting at 7pm.
February 9th - TBA.
February 11th - A day out with a walk along the path at Goldcliffe Bay. We will walk in the direction of the Severn Bridge. Meet at 10.am.
February 16th - A welcome return to the hall with a Portraiture Shoot. Alan Stokes to provide the models and run the evening.
February 18th - Day Out in Porthkerry Park, Barry. To be led by Gerald Henry. Cafe onsite. Meet at 10am.
February 20th - Ace of Clubs being judged on Zoom. 30 images per club.
February 23rd - Competition No 5 with Judge Dai Knight of Baglan Bay PS.
February 25th - Day out at at Talley Abbey, Church and Lakes. Meet at 10am. Leader Gareth Martin.
March 2nd - A Photoshop Demo with Mike Clatworthy of Swansea CC and Morriston CC. If you have a laptop please bring it along, otherwise take notes.
March 4th - A day out with Nigel Thomas, who will lead us on a 6 mile flat walk to the shipwrecks of Pembrey. Meet at 9.am this time - the date may change depending on tides.
March 6th - The second bikers shoot, location under the M4 Port Talbot. More info will be sent out. Meet at 11.am.
March 9th - A macro evening with Tony Llewellyn DPAGB. Hand-in for Competition 6.
March 11th - Paxtons Tower and Dryslwyn Castle this was requested by Dawn Spencer Kelly and was on the programme in 2020 and due to covid has been moved a few times. Meet at Paxtons Tower for 10.am.
March 13th - WPF AGM. Start usually 2.30 pm on Zoom.
March 16th - At home with the Prenton Jones's - Sharon Prenton Jones MFIAP, MPAGB, FIPF, ARPS, ABPE, EFIAP/p and Robert Jones EFIAPp, BPE5, AWPF, LRPS Conwy CC. ZOOM.
March 18th - A day out with a drive from Merthyr to Talybont, stopping on the way to take photographs. The Vaynor overgrown graveyard and ruined church is first up, followed by a stop in the middle of two reservoirs, then on to a stop by Talybont Reservoir to photograph the lone tree and more of the reservoir, before moving on to the canal at Talybont and refreshments. For this we need to meet at 9.am at the grave yard.
March 23rd - Here There and Everywhere - Jenny and Tony Byram, Kingswood PS.
March 25th - Day out at Raglan Castle meet at 10.am For those going for sunrise we can roam the area and meet up at 10.am. Traceys Request. Entry cost is £7.40.
March 30th - Competition No 6 with Judge Ed Cloutman, EFIAP, Hon FWPF and Llantwit Major CC.
April 1st - A day out at Gloucester - meet at 10.am. Further information will be sent out in due course. Requested by Suzanne Lacorte Slee.
April 3rd - World at War. Helicopter Museum, Weston Super Mare.
April 6th - Look What I Found - Muriel Binnie, Edinburgh PS. Muriel makes her second visit to the club via Zoom. Hand in for Competition No 7. ZOOM
April 8th - Swansea Bay Challenge hosted by Morriston CC. TBC.
April 8th - A day out at Llanelly House. Meet at 10.am with the tour starting at 10.30. Meal order has to be in by a week before to Gareth. Pay Heather - £6.50.
April 9th - 10th - Re-enactment Weekend, Margam Park.
April 13th - Holy Week. The Church Hall is closed, so it's a Zoom night from home. The Magic Of Long Exposure with Harry Behind The Lens from Suffolk. Requested by Nige Brown. ZOOM
April 15th - Good Friday day out at Porthkerry Country Park. There's an outdoor cafe a Viaduct, woods and a beach to see.Meet at 10.am.
April 20th - Mounting demo with Gerald Henry. Members bring in their prints to be mounted at a cost of £3.
He will supply the board. This night is in place of Martin Smith's demo which moves into two evenings in November.
April 22nd - A day out at Forest Farm. Meet at 10.am.
April 23rd - 24th - Cardiff Anime and Gaming.
April 23rd - 24th -Glastonbury Medieval Fayre.
April 27th - Competition No 7 - Judge Gary Langley via Zoom. Hand-in for our other new competition to award Print and PDI Image Of The Year. Club Members will be invited to enter what they consider to be their two best images.These images must be chosen from images that were entered into this season’s club competitions 1 through to 7 (dates as above). There will be one winner in the print section and one in the pdi section. The competition will be held on 18th May 2022 with judge Kylie Ann Martin. ZOOM
April 29th - Day out at two locations and a pub. Meet at the Blue Anchor pub for 10.am Anne Phillips is the leader. You will walk to Aberthaw lime house and Leys lake followed by refreshments at the pub. After lunch Anne takes you to Gilestone and Aberthaw Power station and you will see a pebble beach and sea defences.

May 7th - AWPF Distinctions and Workshop at Cynon Valley Musuem between 10am and 2pm. The WPF Salon will open at 1pm at the same venue.
May 11th - My Digital View - Peter Weaver Hanham CC.
May 13th - A day out with Jennie Judd of Gwynfa CC who will lead us on a tour of Parc Penallta where there's wildlife and ponds to see. Meet at 10.am. Cafe on site.

May 18th - Print and PDI of the year. Members are invited to enter their two favourite pdi and prints from the 2021/2022 Season. Judge Kylie Ann Martin, Great Barr PS. ZOOM
May 20th - Day out at St Mary's Church Briton Ferry - meet at 10.am. There is a charge of £3 each. Refreshments at TwoCann in the St. Paul's Centre. If members require lunch, please book with Gareth.
May 25th - AGM. No subs taken.
May 27th - Day out at Bute Park in the Rhymney Valley. This is a short walk with history and plenty to see and photograph. More info will be posted in due course.
June 1st - An evening out at Nash Point. Meet at 7pm.
June 2nd - 5th - Kite Festival at Margam Park.
June 3rd - A day out with a street shoot at The Hay Festival. Meet at 10.am.
June 3rd - June 4th - Abergavenny Steam Rally. Details - here.
June 8th - An evening out with a walk around Caerphilly Castle - hopefully we will have a sunset. Meet at 7pm.
June 10th - A visit to Colby Gardens near Amroth in West Wales. Martin Smith's idea and organiser.
June 11th - Barrian Cup with Judge Les Loosemore ARPS AWPF DPAGB, Vale PC and Cymru Mono. Barry CC host this long-standing battle.
June 15th - An evening out at Roath Park for the sunset. Tracey Howells request.
June 17th - Day out at Penallta Pithead area meet at 10.am. Lunch at a local pub.
June 22nd - An evening out at Tenby. This was originally on the programme for summer 2020. Meet at 7pm. Some members will be making a day of it.
June 24th - A day out at the Gower Heritage Centre. Meet at 10am.
June 29th - An evening out at Port Eynon. Meet at 7pm.
July 1st - A day out at The Iron Works and a street shoot in Ystradgynlais. Meet at 10am.
July 2nd - Ystradgynlais Buskers Festival. Waiting on confirmation of date.
July 2nd/3rd - The Llandovery Motorcycle Weekend.
July 6th - An evening out at Blaengarw. Pondlife, woodland and street photography. Meet at the Calon Carpark for 7pm.
July 8th - Day out at Picton Gardens near Haverfordwest - suggested by Martin Smith. We are awaiting confirmation of costs for a one hour private session with The Owl Sanctuary, which will give club members the opportunity to photograph some of the birds and reptiles close up - VERY CLOSE! Watch this space.
July 13th - An evening out at Coed Bach Wood, Pontarddulais along with a walk to St Teilo's Grave Yard and the twisted trees. Meet at 7pm in the Coed Bach Wood carpark. Wayne John is our leader.
July 15th - A day out at The South Wales Aviation Musuem. Would members wishing to go please inform Gareth as it's booking in advance. Just room for six more.
July 20th - An evening out at Llangynydd Church and grave yard. Refreshments at a local pub. Meet at 7pm.
July 22nd - Day out at Purton - meet at 10am or earlier. Refreshments at a local pub.
July 27th - Evening out at Penwyllt meet at 7pm. Some members may meet earlier.
July 29th - A day out at the Gwenffrwdd Dinas Nature Reserve. Suggested by Gareth with the walk through the reserve to be led by Martin Smith. Pub stop at the Towy Bridge. If there is time we could take in the Llyn Brianne Reservoir. Please note that sections of the walk are over very uneven ground including possibly wet rocky surfaces and exposed tree roots, so strong footwear is essential. Meet at 10.am
August 3rd - An evening out at Caswell Bay. Meet at 7pm.

August 13th - Day out at Brecon Jazz Festival. The Festival is on for most weekends in August.
August 17th - An evening out at a tunnel at Cynonville with our leader Paul Whitcombe. Meet at 7.pm.
August 19th - A day out at Melin Cwrt Brook and Chapel Graveyard plus the waterfall. Meet at 10.am. Leaders Gareth and Neil Holman. There is a restriction on car parking unless you park at the bottom and walk up the steep hill.
August 20th - 21st - THE WPF Convention at Carmarthen College. Speakers TBC.
August 24th - An evening out at Oxwich Bay. Meet at 7pm.
August 26th - A day out at Aberglasney Gardens. Meet at 10am.
August 31st - An evening out at Rest Bay. Meet at 7pm.
September 2nd - Day out with a landscape shoot at Llyn Y Fan Fawr and Llyn Y Fan. This will be a walk over rough moorland and a good walk.Take a packed lunch. Neil Holman will lead this walk. Meet at 9.am
September 7th - An evening with Colin Trow Poole FRPS, Beacon PS. Colin's speciality is mono prints.

September 30th - A day out with a street shoot in Cowbridge. Meet at 10.am.
October 5th - UK Wildlife with Cate Barrow, Merthyr Tydfil. Hand-In for Competition No2.
October 7th - Day out at Aberafan Beach with lunch at The Front ( Let Gareth know if you want Lunch).
October 12th - An evening with Gary Shinner LRPS, EFIAP/b, MPSA2, AWPF, BPSA, GAPU, Baglan PS.
October 14th - Day out at Cosmeston Lakes meet at 10.am.
October 19th - “When Life Gives You Lemons” Peter Thomas, AWPF Port Talbot CC and Cymru Mono. Members bring your cameras and tripods if you have one. This is a fun shoot.
October 21st - Day out at Cefn Onn country park, meet at 10.am.
October 26th - Competition No 2 Judge Dave Bennett Cwmbran CC.
October 28th - Day out with a five mile walk starting at Quakers Yard taking in the Gap. This area has some stunning trees in the autumn. One steep climb and one optional climb. Allow travelling time due to traffic if coming from the M4 and Heads Of The Valleys. Meet at 9.15 AM.
November 2nd - What Is It About Landscapes?? Nick Jenkins AWPF, ARPS, Gwynfa CC. Hand-in for Competition No 3).
November 4th - A Day out at Blaenavon Iron Works and Heritage Centre. Meet at 10.am.
November 6th - AWPF Distinctions at Talbot Green Community Centre.
November 9th - Part One Martin Smith AWPF, gives a demo on his quirky approach to still life. Part Two on November 16th. Hand in for the Simon Jones Mono Competition - 2 PDI per club member.
November 11th - Day out at St Davids, Requested by Suzanne. Meet at 10.am.
November 16th - Part Two of Martin's Quirky Still Life - Post processing.
November 18th - A day at Kidwelly Castle and town.
23rd November - Competition No 3 with Judge Ian Ledgard, EFIAP/p, GMPSA, GPU-Cr4 AWPF, BPE1, Towy Valley CC and Cymru Monochrome
November 25th - Day out with a winter's walk in the Garw Valley with leader Neville Thomas, EFIAP p, CPAGB. A different valley to usual. Meet at 10.am.
November 30th - Ten-Way Battle. Judge Tony Byram LRPS DPAGB EFIAP, Kingswoood PS.
December 2nd - Day out at Merthyr Maw. Meet at 10.am or for the early risers meet 40 minutes before sunrise. Anne Phillips request.
December 3rd - Stanley Schell, att Trecynon TBC. Host Aberdare CC.
December 3rd/4th - The Ragged Victorians at SS Great Britain in Bristol. This event runs every weekend up to Xmas.
December 4th - Xmas Pudding Run in Merthyr Mawr.
December 7th - Xmas Dinner - Venue TBC.
December 9th - Day out with a street shoot at Treorchy. Meet at 10.am
December 14th - The Simon Jones Memorial Trophy, Judge Susan Ashford, ARPS CPAGB AWPF EFIAP Swansea CC.
December 16th - A walk to Cairn Llechart burial chamber and stone circle in winter. We did this in July 2021. Plenty to photograph in the landscape. A 3 mile walk there and back.
December 21st - No meeting.

Looking Ahead to 2023
January 4th - Bring and Buy sale. Members bring in anything, does'nt have to be photographic to be auctioned off. Proceeds go to the running of the club. Auctioneer Vice Chairman Alan Stokes. Hand in Competition No 4.
January 6th - Day out at a Lake in Baglan. Paul Whitcombe request. Meet at 9.am. Lunch at Francos. If you want lunch book your place with Gareth.
January 11th - Deep Sky Astrophotography - Allen R Lloyd, ARPS, AWPF.
January 13th - Day out at Parc Le Breos - burial chamber walk with Neville Thomas AWPF, DPAGB, EFIAP g, and EPSA😊

January 20th - Day out at Storey Arms - we take a walk on the old drovers road taking landscape pictures. The only hill is on the way back up the drovers road. Meet at 8.am. This car park gets full quickly LD3 8NL.
January 22nd - WPF Memorial Competition Day. Venue and Judge TBC.
January 25th - Competition No 4 with Judge Gary Shinner, LRPS EFIAP/b MPSA2 AWPF BPSA GAPU, Baglan PS.
