In order to mark the significant contribution to the Afan Nedd Camera Club made by Simon over the years prior to his untimely passing, the club runs an annual competition in his memory. The competition is called The Simon Jones Monochrome Trophy, in recognition of Simon’s love of the monochrome medium. Simon was a respected local photographer, contributing significantly to the local photography club scene and Afan Nedd in particular, and is greatly missed by his local photographer friends.
